I'll keep my press at 150 cus I don't feel I made much strength gain on it last week, and I don't want to screw up a cycle because of my press lol.

I got 8 with maybe 10lbs of help on a rep in the middle of the set. I'll definitely take this tho, it's progress. More worried about Wednesday's bench session cus 195x5 sounds difficult, dat weak upper body.

On a side note, I need to stretch before every session, pretty sure I had butt-wink on these reps.

Solid session today, I'm happy with this. The 6 reps was definitely maximal, but not to grindy either. Surprised how easy the close gripping was. My legs are still VERY sore from squatting Monday, I can't walk right. I have 345x5 deads on friday lol, I better heal up by then.

My upper back hurts now. It's not too bad, and I'm not expecting it to be there tomorrow, but I won't be doing DB Press or snatch again.
Apart from that, good session. Very happy with 125x9.

Great session overall, this max set of 3 was easier than last week's set of 3. Just goes to show how much of an impact stress can play in lifting.

Miscellaneous training today, I didn't really have time at the gym so I made do. I don't know what I'm gonna do training wise for next cycle, because thanksgiving break (4 days) is coming around at an awkward point in the cycle. It shouldn't be to big of a deal, it's just gonna be 3 days off in a row.

Pretty sure I still have linear gains to make. Before 5/3/1 I just worked myself too hard over too many sets. So basically I wasn't training for strength, I was training for quick and easy numbers.

I'm still gonna be training somewhat like 5/3/1, but I won't be using fixed percentages or reps, I'll just do what I feel will make me stronger long term. To be realistic, I'm not even at a 1000lb total yet, there shouldn't be a reason why I can't progress linearly.

My plan:
-one max set
-each lift trained once per week
-no grinding
-leave 1-2 in the tank, probably 1 for squats and bench, 2 for deads
-gain weight

I wanted to squat instead of bench today because I could do a better body weight pressing movement at home, as opposed to replacing squats for pistol squats. But honestly, I wasn't recovered enough from deads after just 2 days, and I kind of regret doing these. I can't imagine the super compensation will be much of anything.
