The more often and intense I squat/dead the more often I can squat/dead

so what should I do for squats tomorrow? I am planning on maxing in 3 weeks. My current plan is

Week 1: 467.5x2
Week 2: 477.5x2
Week 3: 500 squat 560 deadlift

Other ideas?

Are you dead set on doubles? why not just try 460x3 and if you only get two of those start your doubles with that workout? You just started PRing why stop now

Either way I would be hitting a PR, why are you against me doing doubles?

460x3 seems too hard for me to do, I barely got 450x3.

because worst case scenario (hopefully) is still a pr @ 460x2 but 460x3 would be glorious

Your last squats didn't seem that bad, I think you psyche yourself out

I know 460x2 is a still a PR, but if I only get 2, I will have to add another week to my program, and that might overtrain me.

If I only get 2 with 460, then I can't jump up to 477.5 the following week, thats too large, and going from 470x2 to a 500 max doesn't seem good enough. 470x2 doesnt seem like enough to squat 500, I think I need 477.5.

I don't think your way is a bad idea, I just don't think you need to max so soon

you are progressing linearly, why stop the week you finally hit a pr with it?

I think you are fixated on getting 500 just because of the number 500, not because you are looking for long term strength gains

But in the end you know your body better than I do

I am a bitch, and I dont like risk taking.

I want to take my 15 lbs and go home basically.

I MIGHT be able to get more than 500 linearly, but I don't think its guaranteed, and if I take the risk, I might not even get 500.

500 is a HUGE mental barrier for me right now, I need to knock it down before I can really move forward with squatting.

Ahhhh I see. I used to get all worked up about failing but I realized it's not the end of the world

Not a big deal though, I'd love a 15 lb pr lul

I am just chilling at 220 for this meet. I want to hit a big meet total at 220 before 198

I should've definitely hit a 5-10 lb one at the last meet, but I was a mega phaggot

are you afraid you won't PR or something?

Honestly nobody cares and it is just an awesome time. I ended up meeting someone that trained with a few days every week in the summer.

Why wouldn't you want to?

what was your pull up theory about chest?

i find it peculiar that my bench went to shit when I dropped weighted pull ups, maybe your theory is the key to my bench

My chest is very inflexibile. I cant even deadhang from a chinup bar without a stretch. When I am doing pullups and dropping down I am putting a ton of pressure on my pec, and it ended up giving me strains

your bench went down when you stopped doing decline bench

Lol, thats dumb. inflexible is good, more rebound.

My bench also went down when I stopped decline bench too. I really dont know what caused my bench to become awful, but there is NO doubt that I was doing something during LIME Bench v2 that made my bench MUCH better.

If I had a handoff and I went for 390 right away, I would have had 390 the day I that I maxed. Right now I would MAYBE hit 365.

Its really hard to choose chest accessories, because I have no idea which ones are truly worth it.

I feel as if 3 times a week bench with the massive volume I was using is not something you can do year round. It has to be cycled with lower volume and frequency microcycles.

It has been a while since I did it though, so I can probably do it again.
