I am still at the university of iowa. But last summer I met this guy who totaled like 1635 and should've had 1685 basically took me under his wing and we trained every saturday at this pling gym. I had the weakest deadlift and weakest bench out everyone there so it was super motivating. I am going to be interning/working til the end of august so I probably won't make it back there.

Yeah I have actually been looking at some positions. The recruiting for spring/summer internships begin in the fall so I will have to wait until then to know for sure. The most ideal for me is chicago though since I plan to live there when I graduate and it always helps to intern where you want to be full time.

Have you applied to any universities recently?

What? how can it begin in the fall? do you mean you're not interning this summer?

I am only applying to schools near me, I dont feel like paying a lot to go to school seeing as I have no idea what I want to do for a career.

I started interning with AEGON in january of 2012, I am going to continue this internship until August of 2012. In september the majority of firms recruit the interns for spring/summer 2013.

Well I don't mean to sound like a phaggot but depending on what you end up working in, prestige and a brand name carries a lot of (in my opinion) unfair weight from employers and clients. I am not saying pay for something you cannot afford, but don't go into it blindly

I am not sure if you are saying Iowa is prestigous or if you are saying that my school sucks. In either case I can tell you there is legitimate school discrimination when you try and apply for internships/jobs. For instance my teachers have told us that recruiters "Cap the number of Iowa students they hire as interns" but don't cap it for U of Illinois, U of C, Northwestern, etc regardless of how talented the Iowa class might be on a given year.

It is definitely hurting my ability to get employed IMO, but I also don't have to pay so I won't complain. I was more or less trying to help out with the decision process

3.3... But I know I can destroy the Quant section on it and that's a big factor for a masters in any business aspect. I doubt they weight extra curricular or relevant work experience but I have a lot of that as well.
